Incremental reach. Connected TV. Endemic retail. Just a few of the terms I had never heard of but would become familiar with soon after I started working with The Trade Desk. The company specilizes in pragmatic marketing, but also runs a digital op-ed for clients and others interested in the space: The Current.
They approached me about adding a video component to their work and have since made three explainer-type videos, ranging in topics from history of retail to advertising during a recession. The direction from the team at The Trade Desk was “how do we make this not dull?”. Fortunately the established brand guidelines already lend themselves towards playful charactritcs of collage and I pushed the limits of giving life to inanimate objects.
